-
Updated/Revised Search Terms Combined table to improve identifying reportable cases and autocoding histology/behavior based on primary site code and effective start and end dates for reportability. The following new fields were included in the Search_Terms_Combined Table to handle the improved reportability and autocoding:
- Effective_Year_Start (Value of 0 represents no beginning year)
- Effective_Year_End (Value of 9999 represents no set end year)
- IsNonReportableTerm (True/False values) This field was needed for eMaRC to not re-evaluate a smaller part of a term as “reportable”, when the larger term was already deemed “non-reportable”. A new color (yellow) was added to the legend flag the terms that typically are “reportable”, but due to either site and/or date range criteria the term was made “non-reportable”.
- Site_Histo_Criteria (Site Code that is associated with a specific histology is used in combination with search term and date to identify reportability and/or autocoding of histology and behavior)
- RecordSource (identify who created/updated the record by either CDC or USER)
- Date_Term_Updated (Track when the record has been updated last)
- Integrated NAACCR version 22 implementation guidelines
- Updated/Revised Search Terms
- Updated/Revised Electronic CAP Checklist (ECC) autocoding Tables
- Updated/Revised Handled SSDI Default values (Users can now set configuration to have the SSDI fields blank filled, populated based on the TNM DLL for TNM staging or populated with codes appropriate for non-staging purposes.
- Implemented function associated with NAACCR Volume V, and its XML Data Dictionary
- Implemented/revised SPM segment related funcationality

Update – Reprocessing of 2018/8th Edition Files
Any files with diagnosis year of 2018 or later that were imported into
eMaRC using version 7.X were mapped to NAACCR Version 160 Record Layout.
When upgrading eMaRC to version 9.0, the updater will automatically reprocess these files.
Reprocessing will re-map content to NAACCR Version 220
Record Layout and apply other updated mapping and translation rules.
