(encodes mature N-terminus) and ungapped identity or near-identity
to complete 180 base sequence defines this subtype. This emm type is
quite unique and more related to S. dysgalactiae subsp. equisimilis
counterparts than to emm genes typical of S. pyogenes.

st367.0 from S. pyogenes (GAS) blood isolate HDP 20070367 recovered from a middle-aged
woman in New Caledonia. The isolate was biotype 3, T-nontypeable, and PCR-
positive for speB and speC (negative for speA and ssa). Susceptible to
penicillin, tetracycline, erythromycin, clindamycin, rifampin, bacitracin,
and vancomycin. Isolate was recovered during 2006. Sequence and information
