emm99.5 (emm-cluster E6) subtype determining sequence encoding 10 C 
terminal signal sequence residues and 50 N terminal residues of mature 
M protein.

emm99.5 from 6 GAS isolates (NS4198, NS4564, NS4626, NS4632, NS4635,
and NS4689) recovered in remote Aboriginal community in Australia
(Northern Territory) during 2004-2005. Interestingly, all 6 isolates
were from skin sores, and were the only emm95.5 isolates recovered
during a 2 year collection of nearly 5000 throat swabs and 500
