(encodes mature N-terminus) and ungapped identity or near-identity
to complete 180 base sequence defines this subtype.

emm1-2.3 from isolate MSHR26 recovered from skin of a child in the
Northern Territory of Australia in 1988. Nearly identical in overlap to
GenBank accession Z21845 described by P.P Cleary and coworkers as
emm1.1 in 1993. While I apologize for this re-designation, 
this sequence and other emm1-2 derivatives in this database are not
