Patient file from 2007 National Home and Hospice Care Survey (NHHCS) has been revised.

The revised 2007 National Home and Hospice Care Survey (NHHCS) patient file public use data set is now available for downloading from our website. The 2007 NHHCS documentation; data dictionary; and input statements for SAS, SPSS, and STATA can be found on the NHHCS web page.

There was a problem in previous programming with the assignment of ICD-9 diagnosis codes.  This problem has been corrected in the revised patient file.  The revised 2007 
NHHCS patient file includes new data in all data fields for patient diagnoses. 

We advise anyone who has used the earlier NHHCS patient file  data set (released in May 2009) to re-run all analyses using the revised data set before reporting or publishing any 2007 NHHCS data.
