The External Causes File contains information used to process records
on external causes. The manual is comprised of a pdf file (90 KB).


The PC-MICAR Data Entry System Manager's Manual is intended for System Managers.  It
contains instructions on using those functions of PC-MICAR necessary to the overall data entry
process, as well as installation and file management information.  The manual is comprised of a
pdf file (123 KB). 

The PC-MICAR Data Entry User's Manual is intended for data entry personnel.  It
contains instructions on using PC-MICAR to enter cause-of-death information and to process that
information.  Only those sections of PC-MICAR that deal with data entry and processing
operations are addressed in this manual.  The manual is comprised of a pdf file (216 KB).

The Universal External Cause Prompt Demonstration Data File is informational material.  This is
the test data used in the Universal External Cause Prompts demonstration package. The manual is
comprised of a pdf file (17 KB).  

The Short Index Listing File is a list of abbreviations used in processing. The manual is comprised
of a pdf file (7 KB).
